Yakami Shinsei-ryu is a true multi-track martial art system with over 1,000 years of history, including 50 years of history in Denmark, and at Shindenkan Taijutsu Copenhagen we immerse ourselves in the multi-track Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu, i.e. immersion in the original techniques and essence of both close combat and distance combat, with and without weapons, and we make a virtue out of personal development.
Shindenkan Taijutsu Copenhagen (STKBH) is an elite school with the aim of disseminating, training and teaching the martial arts system Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu - thereby preserving both the 1,000-year-old unarmed and armed samurai skills, as well as creating community and unity around the old virtues.
STKBH is a member of Shindenkan Denmark and through that of Shindenkan Scandinavia and Shindenkan Europe (Jokokan Europe), which is a member of the international non-political federations; Bujutsu Kodosoku-kai and Jokokan International, both of which have organizational headquarters in Japan.
Who can be a member of STKBH?
There must be room for everyone – elite as an exerciser – who wants to contribute to maintaining Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu competences through Honbu Dojo learning circles and OBC training, and wants to participate in the national competence training.
The Taijutsu School will for 2 periods of 4 months, from August-December and from February-May, make an elite investment for all members who want to join.
The teaching is divided into levels depending on the training period and the amount of competences that the individual student has achieved.
At Shindenkan, we will not compromise on the standard of the multi-track skills that make up Yakami Shinsei-ryu. But there must also be room for everyone, the elite such as the exerciser, and precisely to ensure this has collaborated between the Taijutsu schools and Honbu Dojo – which is the Japanese term for the main competence school – plays a crucial role in preserving the competence and standard of the 1,000-year-old system.
All of Honbu Dojo's concepts are designed so that everyone from Chief Instructors, Instructors, local schools and members, can be lifted up to the national level, directly from the source, Yamana-Itotani Sensei – this is implemented and internalized directly into the Taijutsu school's purpose and teaching.
Shindenkan Taijutsu Copenhagen therefore works with immersion according to guidelines from Honbu Dojo, and the concepts, contexts and supplementary activities that are offered nationally.
The benefits are many, by participating in the national Honbu activities with the cool concepts, overlapping learning circles and high level.
It ensures optimal conditions for your learning through overlapping learning circles, community, patience, care and development!
An optimized Honbu concept based on higher skills, optimal learning circles from Honbu to local, across curriculum events and of course with room for everyone, the elite as the exerciser and progression according to effort according to the members' attitude and life cycle - throughout life.
The learning circles are immersion in Shindenkan's curriculum manual across the national participants at curriculum conventions and on to the members of Shindenkan Taijutsu Copenhagen.
OBC is the opportunity for all members to be in a continuous development spiral that maintains and gradually increases the level of competence of all participants year after year.
The participants at both the National and local OBC will renew their competences in all 21 competence courses and it will be possible to obtain a KM certification as an annual recognition of the single-track competence level.
Honbu Dojo's National Kata Driving Card means that the Kata skills and learning are targeted from the Honbu curriculum seminars - starting from the highest level - the Black Belt seminars, over - the Brown Belt seminars to the 9th - 5th Kyu seminars and then to the local schools.
The goal is for everyone to learn new Kata first in a nationally standardized form and then practice and maintain them locally.
NKT is a national supporting teaching and training structure to ensure that all participants get through nationally standardized maintenance and retention of curriculum course competencies.
At the same time, the national NKT is also the way for the local NKT training, where the Taijutsu school can focus on giving an extra review according to the same structure to the members.
