On a sunny Saturday, 120 committed and smiling people lined up in two rows for a major spring meeting in Måløv sports park, and with the common cry "Who can? Jokokan can!” the convention was initiated. The age spread was great, as Jokokan's motto "Room for everyone - you are never too old to learn" was followed, so that the participants aged 6 to 64 could confirm this constantly during the all-day event.

The host was Jokokan Ballerup Karate School, and the organizer the rapidly growing Jokokan organization with over 550 members in Denmark alone. Worldwide, Jokokan is led by the world-famous Japanese Soke Sensei Tonegawa, who often appears in martial arts magazines. Last in THE magazine for martial arts and martial arts; the international HIDEN, Budo & Bujutsu in the February 2007 issue.

In the organization Jokokan, four martial arts systems are trained, including the martial arts system Yakami-ryu Gensei Karate-do, which has its Danish establishment roots back to 1967. Yakami-ryu Gensei Karate-do is the entry system in Jokokan, and the martial arts system as the 120 permanent and 130 changing participants had to compete with themselves and each other throughout the day under the convention's motto "You can do much more than you and others tell yourself".

This motto was confirmed again and again throughout the day, by both children, youth, adults, elderly, girls, boys, women, men, mothers, fathers and grandparents who, after a nine-hour long contest, could finish it with a big smile on their face successful Jokokan convention.

With the resounding collective cry "Who can? I can!" could the over 200 participants well-deservedly enjoy Easter, and look forward to the next Jokokan convention at the end of June.
