For many years, Shindenkan Denmark has held positive and joyful, community-rich traditional events that reflect who we are at all times, and Shindenkan's 57th Xmas event was no exception.

Shindenkan's Xmas event was held on Saturday 9 December 2023 in Ballerup and what a fantastic Christmas party it was 😊 with super happy participants who got to test their happy Christmas spirit, their stamina, their fighting spirit and not least a lot of happy spectators who supported the whole day with mood and togetherness - we couldn't wish for better.

During the Corona period, Shindenkan put up with everything possible in terms of community in true Shindenkan spirit, whether it was shared walks with distance, KataFIT training via Facebook, home training via zoom and, not least, outdoor training helped especially by Ballerup Municipality - and that was the togetherness, the community and the fact that we reached out to each other succeeded 😊.

In the last part of the Corona period, Shindenkan had timely care restructured, optimized and adapted the organization to the time after and therefore Shindenkan also avoided the large negative effect that it had on many other associations.

In the 2021-2022 season, it was fantastic for Shindenkan, just like for many other voluntary associations, to feel the great positive pull and the bright energy that came to us in the spring of 2022, right where everything became free again, training facilities were made available again – how all the members new and old came back to us to train again – we truly felt free again and what a great feeling.

Subsequently, many people, especially the young, have been challenged in terms of mental health and this has also been promoted in all media and saw the flight from the voluntary associations. But here I just have to emphasize that this is where we at Shindenkan are really strong. After all, we are diversity with Shindenkan's fantastic composition of happy and expectant members - big and small, girls and boys, men and women who put a thick line under Shindenkan's motto: We have room for everyone - the elite as the exerciser.

The goal for the number of participants in Shindenkan's Strat26 was reached in the lower fractile, with just over 90 registered participants, who, despite the great amount of illness that has characterized the whole autumn and the first winter months - showed up with positivity, courage and, not least, great expectations for the day , to the community and not least their own performance 😊

All of 2023 has been supported by our members and their very strong desire to train Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu and Karate-do - and live our set of values. Their curiosity and desire to become better at doing something for themselves and for other people around them.

We are really good - The level in Shindenkan has never been higher than it is right now and that applies all the way around - both in terms of skills, commitment and positive mood and the desire to be there for each other and we are just enormously proud of that.

The summer of 2023 offered the largest number of higher graduates for many years before Corona and the Xmas convention 2023 as well, and our expectations for the Summer convention 2024 are very high and give us the foundation we want for the future.

Thank you for a fantastic and life-affirming Xmas convention 2023 and I am already looking forward to the upcoming spring convention 2024 and summer convention 2024.

In just a little while it will be 2024 and it will once again be a real Shindenkan's year and it will get better and better.
