I learned that a lack of focus quickly results in poorer results. My head was filled with work-related thoughts, which produced an unstable yield.
I remember a similar problem from the first time I completed the course. I had to set about rediscovering the previously learned competence.
The way back was through the basic shooting technique. I had to find the correct breathing, attitude and settlement – regain focus and will.
It naturally helps to get the worst rust off, so that the technique appears sharp again. One must activate the previously learned bodily memory and sharpen the required mental focus.
When I regained focus, I delivered, as before, a stable and almost identical result with each shot. It is satisfying that I was able to get back to a stable result quite quickly by refreshing the POMW technique from my previous course.
I have thus again become concerned with the fact that it is the person behind the weapon that is all-important for the outcome.
