Then finally came Jujutsu 2 after it had been canceled last time due to lack of entries. It started with a bit of ryugi (theory) which focused on what jujutsu is and what we should use it for and where it fits into the big pizza.
After that he showed some different clips with judo, jujutsu, MMA and other martial arts, so you just got the adrenaline going.
After all, jujutsu is raw and brutal close combat as you could see in one of the clips he knew with some jujutsu great masters and MMA is just brutal as you could see in the clip he showed.
When we got to the dojo we had to rehearse jujutsu 1 (falling techniques). It was good to just warm up a bit. Then came jujutsu 2 and it was really nice to practice all the throws at a slow pace so you had time to do them properly. I think it was really good that we spent so much time on shio-nage as it is the most difficult throw to do correctly.
I also liked the fact that we had to switch partners, so that you weren't standing next to someone you knew or the same gender or the same size so that your comfort zone was pushed.
But I think we could have changed partners a little more than just 3 times over the entire training. So I didn't manage to get a tall or heavy mate which would make it more realistic, because out on the street they can be all kinds of sizes.
Finally we practiced Kansetsu-waza (joint lock), which really hurt if you remembered it with the 2 wheels. First the small wheel and then the big wheel because then you would probably have to get down quickly..
