Jokokan Veksø Karate School is now finally in Veksø multihall!

We had "water damage start-up training" in Stenløse, but have now moved into the lovely Veksø multi-hall.

So now we are doing Yakami Shinsei-ryu karate at Jokokan Veksø Karate School, every Wednesday from 18-19 and Friday from 17-18.

We are a team of instructors with 6 to almost 40 years of experience - both nationally and internationally. We are all family men with children of all ages.

Chief instructor is Jens Iversen, 6th dan, black belt, - who is also the federation chairman of Shindenkan Denmark with 9 schools and approx. 750 members. Instructor Henrik Jørgensen, 1st dan and 2nd dan black belt, as well as the always happy school teachers and assistant instructors Carsten Mønning and Freddie Kirk Nielsen, who are brown belts.

We are a member of Shindenkan Denmark, where it is an experience to participate in the three annual joint meetings with 150-200 participants on the floor and as many on the bench, which creates a fantastic atmosphere when people aged 5 to 68 years participate in a true "people's party".

Shindenkan Denmark is a member of Shindenkan Scandinavia and Europe, which is part of the international organization Jokokan and Bujutsu Kodosokukai, which has its main base in Japan.

We train karate with a smile on our face and are at the same time deeply serious. There is room for everyone, adults, children, parents and children, elite and exercisers.

We meet the individual person where they are in their life path, and adapt the training to needs and abilities.

We have a unique and successful concept where adults, parents and children train in the same room at the same time - but separately, so that everyone gets optimal benefits according to their needs.

In other words, as parents you get pure quality time with your children.

In addition to the karate training, each training session includes warm-up, light strength training and stretching exercises. Through the systematic training, you build a belief in yourself at the same time as your karate skills

The karate system we train is called Yakami Shinsei-ryu and has its roots in the Japanese samurai culture. It actually has over 1,000 years of history. Most modern systems are single-track. That is they only train karate, judo, jujutsu, etc. Since Yakami Shinsei-ryu is a very old samurai system, this is also inherently a multi-track martial arts system. This means that we train both armed and unarmed techniques, distance combat as close combat, which gives a very realistic training and attitude the further you go.

Should you feel like seeing what we have to offer, come by for a few trial lessons in Veksø Multihal. You are very welcome!
