On May 25, 2003, the new beautiful Måløvhal at Måløv Hovedgade 50 was officially opened. 300 Ballerup citizens, Ballerup's mayor Dalsgaard and Prague's mayor Richter had found the way to a very grandiose inauguration.
As the user of the specially built barefoot hall of 150 m2, Jokokan Ballerup Karate School (JBa) was asked to perform a nice and successful demonstration right after the speeches. This also marked that JBa moved from Egebjerg School to these new very beautiful facilities. Read more about the exhibition in the articles: "Jokokan Ballerup Karate School's new dojo a reality" and "Inauguration of the new Måløvhal"
As an active sports association in Ballerup, JBa also participated in the prestigious sports project "Arena Øresund" in mid-June, which is a collaboration between the Swedish and Danish sports federations. Read the article "Jokokan and Arena Øresund".
Jokokan Ballerup Karate School is led by two local Ballerup citizens and fathers from the Måløv and Egebjerg area. They each have over 25 years of experience in Japanese & Chinese martial arts.
Chief instructor Jens Iversen from Måløv, is a 5th dan black belt, 41 years old, trained as an engineer and zone therapist. The chairman, Kimu Bjarkmann from Egebjerg, is a 7th dan black belt, 38 years old, graduated in engineering and MBA. In addition to this local initiative, which is very important to both of them, both also have other trust businesses. Chief instructor Jens Iversen is country manager for Jokokan Denmark and deputy chairman of Jokokan Denmark's federal board. Chairman Kimu Bjarkmann is Chief Instructor and area manager for Jokokan Europe, and chairman of Jokokan Denmark's federal board.
The goal in the new Jokokan school in Ballerup will initially be to create a new team of 25 regular participants. At Jokokan, we have very good experiences with both Jokokidz (8-14 years), adults (15-35 years), old boys & girls (36-45 years) and Wonder boys & girls (46-99 years) training together at the beginning. It creates a really good atmosphere in the dojo (training hall) and in the subsequent social life after the Yakami-ryu karate-do training. We believe this is very important and valuable for a Jokokan school and its members. As required, there will be 1-2 instructors in addition to the Chief Instructor and the Chairman.
So if you/you want to help create a new local association, the new team starts up in the new Måløvhal, Måløv Hovedgade 50, MONDAY AUGUST 18, 2003 AT 18:45-20:00. A training or jogging suit is excellent to start with.
We look forward to seeing you!.
