Jokokan introduces a new school in Korsør starting on 4 September 2002.

By Jokokan Federation

Jokokan connected for Yakami-ryu Gensei Karate-do introduces new school in Korsør. This is happening as part of a development in the direction of making knowledge of the old style more widespread. The start-up of this school is the first in a longer phase in which more and more schools must be started.

The foundation for the start-up is in order, as the instructor staff in the association has grown and is now ready to expand. The quality of the teaching and the continuation of the traditional budo is essential for Jokokan, which is why there has only now been enough money to start this school. The solid foundation must first and foremost be attributed to the system's supreme Grandmaster, Soké Sensei Yukio Tonegawa, who brought Gensei-ryu to Denmark back in the 60s. The contact has been maintained and the quality preserved by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Jens Iversen Shihan, 5th dan, who must therefore be given a very large part of the credit for the system today having the quality and foundation for expansion.

The new school will be the first to be started from scratch and thus become a journeyman's letter for the school's appointed Shihan Martin Hansen 1st dan, who will be solidly assisted by Jokokan Skælskør's Shihan Per Kristensen, who has led Skælskør for the last few years Karate school through a transformation, so that today it is a great success as a real Jokokan school. We hope that the future local members of the new Jokokan school from the beautiful old market town of Korsør will help make the Jokokan Korsør karate school an equally great success. The motto for the new school will be like everywhere else in the organization "Create whole and happy people" and "Space for everyone".

The new club is being promoted through an advertising campaign so that the message reaches as many people as possible. This is done under the slogan "Karate in Korsør" and the campaign has already been launched and is supported by flyers, posters, newspaper articles and of course here on the Internet.

We are looking forward to welcome you.

Best regards and welcome,

Jokokan Korsør Karate School
