On Sunday 4 August, Jokokan was invited to perform a Yakami-ryu demonstration in connection with Copenhagen's big event; "Kulturhavn" in the days 1. - 4. August, 2002. Jokokan's show team performed a varied display with both armed and unarmed techniques and what this could be used for, in a "sharp situation". The demonstration took approx. 20 minutes.
Jokokan Frederiksberg had arranged that both before and after the show, Jokokaners handed out brochures, answered questions and had a good chat with some of the hundreds of spectators who flocked to the show – spectators who, incidentally, gave Jokokan's show team very good feedback on the show.

Jokokan's show team will subsequently give shows in the towns of Skælskør, Korsør and Slagelse in August and September, and during DGI's annual Budodag in DGI town in November."
