The Yakami training, which is for all members of Jokokan, is built around the 8 forces and 12 principles that all 4 systems under the umbrella organization Jokokan Europes, including Denmark's, are built from.
All 4 martial art systems naturally overlap each other in a continuous flow, as new knowledge and experience must constantly maintain, build and advance the Jokokan members to the level they have chosen depending on the level of ambition.
The narrower Yakami Gensei-ryu Karate-do is passed on to the broader Yakami-ryu Karate-do, which lays the foundation for the total martial art system Yakami-ryu Taijutsu, which naturally flows into the spiritual system Yashin Mon. Yashin Mon consists of only 8 techniques equal to the 8 powers.
For 2002, the training lessons have been determined so that all members can participate according to their chosen system, life cycle, time and chosen obligations:
Shihans from 5.Dan:
2 annual training camps of approx. 21/2 days duration
2 weekly training sessions taught by Yamana Sensei, 7th Dan
1 annual Instructor training camp with classes by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan
1 annual training camp in Japan of approx. 9-10 days duration with teaching by Soke Sensei Tonegawa
Honbu-dojo instructors from 3rd to 4th dan
2 annual mini-training camps of 1 day duration. Teaching by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan
1 annual Instructor training camp with classes by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan
Shidoins from 3rd kyu to 3rd dan
8 annual management seminars of 1/2 day duration. Teaching by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Iversen Shihan, 5th dan
1 annual Instructor training camp with classes by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Iversen Shihan, 5th dan
For all members of Jokokan
Autumn training camp of 11/2 days duration in Yakami Gensei-ryu Karate-do. Teaching by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Iversen Shihan, 5th dan
Winter training camp of 11/2 days duration in Yakami-ryu Taijutsu. Teaching by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Iversen Shihan, 5th dan
Christmas training camp and lunch of approx. 1/2 day duration. Teaching by Yamana Sensei, 7th dan and Iversen Shihan, 5th dan
4 annual courses out of 36 offered options of approx. 3-5 hours duration from Honbu-dojo instructors
5 day training camp with Soke Sensei Tonegawa every two years. Next time 2003.
