Jokokan's Christmas training at Jokokan Slagelse.

By Jokokan Denmark

Jokokan's Annual Christmas training was for the tenth year in a row located at Jokokan Slagelse, who had rented the Vesthallen for the purpose. It turned out again this year to be a brilliant event in high spirits and with lots of humour. Iversen Shihan, 5th Dan and Yamana Sensei, 7th Dan, who traditionally teach during this event, wore Santa hats for today's occasion to mark the Jokokan Christmas atmosphere and this year's "We shall have fun" event.

Jokokan Slagelse had placed an invitation in the Slagelse newsletter, which resulted in many Slagelse citizens finding their way to Vesthallen to witness the graduation and Jokokan's Show Team perform their performance, as performed the week before during the DGI city's BUDO event.

The comments from the townspeople, old students and other BUDO systems were extremely positive, and a leading highly graded "grand old man" Budoka has stated that it is one of the best displays he has ever seen. Which is a great compliment to Jokokan and Yakami's standard, and the show team's training effort.

The Jokokans from four schools initially paid a visit to the city's hottest cafe before the trip continued to the Thai restaurant, where the group of approx. 50 people had to eat. After eating, us Jokokans like the city's hottest cafe so much that we just had to go back, which we did. A good end to a festive day with fun training and high Christmas cheer.

Jokokan wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
