Per Nygaard Kristensen passed his 1st dan, Yakami Gensei-ryu Karate-do during Jokokan's annual instructor summer camp. Per has trained various systems since 1984, such as Kongfu and Gensei-ryu Karate-do since 1988. On Per's initiative, the school in Skælskør was admitted to Jokokan at the end of 1999.
Since Christmas 2000, Per has undergone a particularly intensive and hard training course, both physically and mentally. A training course that has made very high demands. Per has, among other things, been a test piece for Jokokan's new requirements for physical fitness and learning. He passed the physical 1.dan's package with the following result: Bronze circle 7 minutes and 49 seconds. 10 km run in 50 minutes finishing with a gold circle in 9 minutes.
Per was simultaneously appointed as the new Chief Instructor in Jokokan Skælskør, as the first black belt in the school's history. A big congratulations to Per, who is not resting on his laurels, but is now training intensively for a new graduation to 1st dan, Yakami-ryu Taijutsu – the total martial art system during the winter camp, February, 2002.
