Jokokan's federal treasurer since early 1998, has been excluded and stripped of all ranks and honors after the board found that he had systematically committed embezzlement for an amount of over DKK 50,000. The board, the board of representatives and Jokokan's trial lawyer have unanimously condemned the embezzlement, and have set up a federal committee , who must investigate and validate the extent of the embezzlement throughout the federal treasury's time in the position of trust.

As a consequence of this, Soke Sensei's visit to Denmark in 2002 has been postponed until 2003, and new stricter control procedures have been prepared. The embezzlement is significant for the entire Jokokan organization, and you have therefore all been informed in detail about the handling of this case through your Chief Instructor. A FAQ has also been prepared by the association. Which is available to all members of Jokokan and Jokokan supporters. We are very sorry for this matter. We never thought such a case would hit Jokokan - but unfortunately it has, and with far-reaching consequences.

However, you can be assured that the board and the board of representatives have vigorously and consistently dealt with this case, and unanimously have a common position on the further handling of this case against our former member and Federation Treasurer.
