The foundation and development of the POMW project over 14 years

Article written by Kimu K. Bjarkmann

Now a total of 165 who have completed the POMW training from 2011-2024

The POMW project is a large international Shindenkan project from 2011-2024+. POMW Stands for Project Old Modern Warrior. The project arose from the eternal internal and external theoretical discussion about the multi-track 1,000-year-old martial arts system; Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu & Karate-do had some relevance in the modern world of firearms. The POMW project set out to turn theory into practice and settle this once and for all, according to recognized and accepted international principles and standards.

The starting point for POMW was the theory of the old Japanese martial art grandmaster, Minouchi Sensei, that it was quite easy to answer, since it was the person behind the weapon who made the biggest and decisive difference, regardless of time period, place and weapon development. And so it has always been in history.

The POMW project was initiated with the greatest risk to the Shindenkan organization, as none of the project main forces had prior firearms or competence experience. This, in turn, also gave the project the very highest credibility.

In addition, it was crucial whether a learning and teaching concept could be developed on the basis of the POMW project conclusions, so that the results could be repeated again and again, and thus could not be attributed to "special talent".

The result was a large international project that included Europe, the USA and Asia, where the worlds absolute most reputable shooting legends for decades, military and civilian, willingly passed on their lifes shooting essence within their shooting tip competence; Revolver, Pistol, fully automatic rifles, rifle and ultra long range shooting. It thus also became the most expensive project in Shindenkan history to date, but attracted great international recognition on several levels. But it also caused great opposition from certain groups and countries.

The results are fact-based, as the competence standard is according to the international competence shooting standard, within pistol, rifle and long-range shooting.

The shooting disciplines were chosen because the fundamental shooting disciplines have been developed as simply as possible, which means that as many as possible can achieve the criterion of success under all conditions throughout history. Therefore, POMW includes the fundamental and well-documented sports shooting disciplines within pistol and rifle from 7-300 m, on both indoor and outdoor range and transition shooting. But also sports, such as the "military shooting" top disciplines, are included so that the full picture could be obtained, It is range and transition shooting from 300-2,000+ m and the shooting formula 1 disciplines; IPSC.

Menkyo to be or not to be, that is the question – does it make a difference or not?

Martial arts and martial arts are ideal as a human starting point for the tool POMW, as all martial artists are trained in inner clarification, technique, focus, stamina, top form on all parameters, and are used to performing in all conditions. The practitioners from Shindenkan are ideal for the purpose, as all are trained multi-track at different competence levels (degrees) on both a national and internationally recognized community level.

For at least 600 years+ within the multi-track martial art, the inner clarification has been formally and structured divided into several levels of competence. Competence levels that stem from the individual person – in war as in peace.

There were generally two paths for a samurai warrior; The schooled way or Trial & Error way through survival and role model value on the battlefields.

Both paths led to the degree of competence; Samurai officers – leader of samurai warriors and yourself as a role model – in peace and in war on the battlefields. This densho degree is Menkyo – Master of all the Martial arts.

There were and are even higher degrees above Menkyo, but originally there were none below. They were only created for modern society after the 1880s, when Japan had really come with leaps and bounds from a medieval society to a modern industrial society, like in America and Europe.

At the invitation of the world's best handgun IPSC legend for the last 30+ years, multiple world champion and many countries' special forces weapons instructor; Rob Leatham, Day's shooting course and Steel match at the IPSC legendary Arizona Rio Salado Shooting Range. Before initiation above and after everything was over below.

The modern starting point, which setting level did we examine?

The POMW project was based on the modern scalable competency level models and internal human clarifications. The POMW project was therefore initiated in stages on four levels, following the modern age, which was to verify and confirm this inner clarification based on traditional martial arts and martial arts at the international top level, through the tool POMW - the shooting disciplines.

  1. Above Densho Menkyo
    – Master of all the Martial arts – From 6th dan multi-track to 8th dan single track, black belt
  2. Under Densho Menkyo
    – densho degrees – From 3rd dan multitrack to 7th dan single track, black belt
  3. Not densho degrees
    – black and brown belts, From 3rd Kyu multitrack to 3rd dan single track, black belt
  4. Colored belts
    – From the 6th kyu multi-track to the 3rd Kyu single track – i.e. typically 3-4 years of Shindenkan training.

Densho degrees in Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu & Karate-do date back to the year 999 and the level has always been the same.

The international static archery competence standard 2012 has been fixed throughout the project, but the dynamic learning processes and essence methodologies are completely built according to Shindenkan's Yakami Shinsei-ryu Curriculum handbook and toolbox.

The international POMW project was planned and carried out by Shindenkan Honbu - the main school's Competence and Development Center and was carried out by the SCDC project manager who paved the way at the same time as knowledge and education training for the subsequent teams.

The POMW project was as usual based on the Shindenkan Honbu project department; Shindenkan Competence and Development Center (SCDC). It has all major international projects in Shindenkan, with SOPORG as the steering group.

SOPORG is the day-to-day national operating committee, which consists of the democratically elected Federation Chairman and Deputy Chairman, Honbu's chairman and deputy chairman, and usually one additional democratically elected top management representative from the Shindenkan.

Shindenkan's knowledge and competence bank – The golden dish with jewels, which is made available to everyone

Projects in Shindenkan are always multi-tracked, instead of single-tracked. It would be easiest to only deal with one single track. But the world and reality are not like that. It is multi-tracked and therefore life is also multi-tracked and therefore Shindenkan's projects must also try to deal with this. We are not alone, but surrounded by yes everything!

The level of competence is reflected by the main force behind Shindenkan's projects; The project manager. It is like everything else in this world; school, university, workplace, government, inside and outside the home, etc. In a democratic association, the general assembly is the highest democratic body. The structure here is reflected by the surrounding society - we are not alone.

Projects can be carried out at different levels of competence, which also reflect that from society, nationally and internationally throughout history. Democracy in the world has brought about a change in society, which has brought about a rapid social development at all levels of competence in the world today. Projects can be carried out metaphorically at different levels; village, city, metropolis, region, country, continent and global international level.

In Shindenkan, we have tried to push aside the jante law and see how far the wings can carry.

It is therefore at maximum risk of failure and criticism.

And success in the result and the process that balances on a mercilessly sharp Katana sword egg.

It has been decided by the general meeting that Shindenkan's international projects are completely dependent on the project manager's multi-track competence level. It is therefore entirely in the hands of the project manager how high the wings can carry.

But the higher the wings can carry, the more scalable the project's results and economy will be, and will therefore fully fulfill Shindenkan's learning motto; We meet you where you are and take you on a journey.

The challenge afterwards is simply that there must also be recipients who develop to higher levels of competence, and this can be a problem in the modern world.

But the tools that SDCC-SKUC has developed; The Modern Communications Platform (Shindenkan Competency Course & Curriculum Handbook), the POMW Project (2011-2024+), the SHIELD KISS Project (East-West multi-track Health 2014-2017) are made available to those who want and have the gratitude and humility to learn all the way, directly from the gold platter, jewels that just lie there from a 1000 year knowledge bank. The future will have to show that.

POMW project prerequisites and definitions for POMW Hold measurements

There is a big difference between the set expectations and clarification goals the POMW project had in 2011 and then in 2024. With a base of experience from 165 POMW graduates over the last 14 years, we have learned and become a lot wiser along the way!

Not least since the world has changed significantly in this extremely exciting time period. There has been a huge social upheaval throughout the world. A gigantic and lightning-fast paradigm shift, which the development in means of communication from community media to common ownership, has made possible.

Today, everyone can be a journalist and create their own readership on both a national and global level. Through their media platforms, influencers and famous people have a huge influence on the economy, society and opinion formation. There are actually quite a few who have both one, two and three-digit million followers in the world.

One click and 300 million have received the information. It's power and it's money.

It has become the wild wild west and more and more people feel unsafe in this world, where the foundation of values and social norms are strongly challenged. They seek reassurance and faith in politicians who say they can solve the problems.

And when they cannot do this, trust in the "old system" is undermined and there is a cry for a "new system" that can solve the problems.

In the old system, it was often the highest common denominator that was officially the ideal. In the process towards the new system, there are many who believe that it is the lowest common denominator that is officially the ideal. There has been a pole reversal.

Shindenkan has also reflected the social currents of this period and experienced the effects of this to the highest degree. We have gone through a very difficult and critical clean-up and clarification period, and have experienced a significant paradigm shift in the democratically elected board positions.

But the majority in Shindenkan have maintained that we ARE value-based with room for everyone, the elite as the exerciser by effort and we meet people where they are and take them on a journey. We celebrate diversity and space for everyone, and we must treat each other properly, just as we would like to be treated ourselves.

The above means that there has been a very big difference between the participants throughout the 14 years and 6 teams. Team 1 and team 2 were respectively The SDCC Project Manager and Shihan-kai (Chief Directors). Teams 3, 4 and 5 there are many similarities and therefore the same experiences and conclusions. The teams were heterogeneous and extremely competitive, and most often in an unhealthy way. Where some participants emphasize themselves at the expense of others, soar and go down completely when reality hit. There were many serious conversations in teams 3, 4 and 5.

Team 6 was markedly different and overall a very homogeneous team. Team 6 generally created a high positive mood and a really good learning atmosphere. There was concentration, but also fun, team spirit and hard work.

For the sake of the establishment and validity of the POMW project both inside and outside Shindenkan, we had to prove that the POMW project could produce "Extremely competent shooters in the shortest possible time on the basis of people who reflected normal Danish society."

The starting point for the POMW project was and is therefore; The man behind the weapon - and they were different over the 14-year period, which also marks an era in the world where there has been a significant societal shift and paradigm change throughout the world - and which is still ongoing.

It is in line with Shindenkan's learning motto; "We meet people where they are and take them on a journey"

Teams 1-4 and partly team 5 focused hard on the hard performance targets which are the international shooting standard, in addition to the main project objective; Minouchi Sensei's theory proof.

Team 6 has also focused on the hard performance targets, but more in balance with the soft performance targets; Minouchi Sensei's theory proof. The reason is a more homogeneous team composition.

People & The Tool; Consequence – and when there is none

In martial arts, there are consequences with natural cash settlement in the Dojo (training hall) on both friendly disputes, but also without. It keeps certain types of people in check, as they can get their ears "heated". There are consequences for extremely bad behaviour, behavior or where you repeatedly injure others or fail to comply with safety rules to the detriment of others and yourself.

Of course, there is no such thing for good reasons with POMW shooting 😊.

But the POMW competence courses, on the other hand, reveal every time the participants with a high D-factor, total inferiority, which is compensated with unhealthy high self-confidence. Which causes them to break completely under the pressure of expectations when they experience reality and they cannot fulfill their own chosen self-image. This means that they can be experienced at full blast with a total exhibition of themselves as people, and most often negatively about other people who they are jealous of, look angry at or have simply crossed their path.

People who reveal themselves to such an extent during a voluntary and unpaid association's competence course, usually have no stopping blocks afterwards. They are almost all in the middle age group of people.

They have not only displayed inappropriate and revealing behavior during POMW, but often also during Shindenkan ShindenFight Shiai, where they have exposed themselves with antisocial and unsympathetic behavior outside the agreed upon rules and framework. They have often hurt people. For some, their macho self-image and leadership image completely crumbles to the floor during ShindenFight Shiai, visible to all, which can be a shocking experience for many of their peers. They have revealed themselves as special types of people, and their comrades often withdraw from them, and therefore many of these people are no longer in the Shindenkan, and local and national general assemblies have expressed satisfaction with this - Also read this article

This inappropriate behavior often stems from a problematic childhood with neglect and a history of trauma. Care is an expression of basic needs that can also be expressed as love, security, safety and stimulation in relation to being challenged in an appropriate way.

Shindenkan has extensive experience and a very high success rate with children and young people. Also those with a degree of psychological vulnerability, anxiety problems or a neurological difference with Asperger's and autism, and OCD, ADHD, which has made it difficult to fit into the usual family structures, at school and in social life.

But the older people get, the more difficult it is often to change thoughts and patterns of action. But it is not impossible and the majority have succeeded. The middle age group and up is the most difficult and difficult group, but when the curious and youthful of mind in this group get the best personal experiences, a great many sunshine stories are created through life changes and patterns of action.

POMW Shooting technical handbook works! And despite the difference between the teams over 14 years, all the teams reached the finish line and met all success criteria.

Typical examples that we have had on all teams are:
  • The extremes, where we have contestants who believe they are extremely skilled and unique shooters both pre and post POMW but do not have the facts, eyewitnesses or consistency to prove it at the Shindenkan POMW competency level which is national, continental and international. Of course, it depends on WHAT you are comparing to; Local village, municipality, region, country, continent, global or international.
  • Extreme point, where the participants believe that POMW has been good, but they are disappointed that they have not achieved higher points. But when the facts, backed up by a development curve and data show that they started with not being able to hit the target from 3 meters with an Airgun. And after 2 months stands at 15 meters with a 9 mm pistol and puts 80+ % of the shots in the Alpha zone with 2 seconds between shots, simultaneously with transition, and has almost total recoil control, which very few Danish normal shooters have, so if you as a POMW instructor team do not agree with the POMW shooter's self-perception.
  • Extreme point; The POMW Chief Instructor does not hide the fact that he is "rusty" and as a result, his execution of the POMW shooting technical competence level is significantly below the performance level under the POMW Project 2011-2024+. But it was good enough to teach at POMW at an international competence level. All the participants constantly expect a very high level of international competence, as stated in the articles. It must be delivered every time. But does it also apply the other way? For others? The participants? No, unfortunately not. And not everyone can see this connection and responsibility.
  • Minouchi Sensei said that the decisive difference is the human behind the weapon. POMW The chief instructor has during this POMW course consistently shot quite well at international level. For example constant POMW demos throughout 10 months; 291 to 300 points, 25 m, 30 shots in under 2 minutes, which was then his bottom level with subsequent good development increase. The bottom level and constancy is an expression of the real shooting competence level, regardless of whether it is the local village club, region, country, continent or international, and therefore from where you judge from. But it is clear that it is easier to be the best in the local village than in the world. It is a choice to make. The chief instructor must always be able to perform optimally in an environment where 50 % hopes he fails and 50 % hopes he does not fail, and the chief instructor has done that for all 14 years, as the only one.
  • It is not our job to change this self-perception of our own ability and POMW's contribution. We deal with facts over 10 months and approx. 110-120 hours of factual observation.

NULL – VOID shoots are counted with the lowest counting score BEFORE the NULL – VOID shoot, – to avoid cheating and speculation as the participants know that there is a fixed number of point shoots (i.e. limited number and time)

Members of Shindenkan are usually quite clever - they can figure it out 😊. We learned from Team 3 that Shindenkaners can figure it out. If they had shot 285 and 265, the average would be 275, - if the other scores were VOID/NULL, not counted. Therefore, there were many discs which suddenly only contained 28-29 shots and were therefore discontinued. So of course the concept was changed, thus cheating or speculation was minimized. Therefore, the lowest counting score (the bottom level) always counts if there is a VOID/NULL shooting that is not valid. People often make it easiest for themselves, and often also at the expense of others. It's just for fun, voluntary and unpaid association work, etc. But no matter what, everyone knows that it is based on who you are as a person and human being.

Teaching style and pedagogy can be and is very different for the 4 or 2 groups

"The master and the student learn exactly the same thing, but the process and the results are very different"

Since inner clarification in martial arts language is the densho degree; Menkyo competence level, it must also mean that Minouchi Sensei's theory means "Everything above and from Menkyo - and everything below Menkyo". It also agrees with what other recognized Budo and Bujutsu grandmasters GGM have said throughout history.

But - there is a big difference in the motivation factor in the old authoritarian social structures, which have a direct influence on the people in them. For example in ancient Japan with Shoguns, Daimyos and samurai warriors with no safety nets applicable to all, to modern times where the democratic state has taken over and structured modern society with countless safety nets. The incentive for survival, development and inner clarification is very different.

Who wants to be a black belt? Who wants to be James Bond? 99 out of 100 say; I will! But when they are told what is needed, 99 out of 100 jump out after a short time. Since 99 out of 100 cannot fully understand and accept the hard and tiring work behind, which is equally applicable to everyone for 600+ years. They simply do not recognize the premises behind when they fail and give up. But they also don't want to stand behind the 99 out of 100 who say they can easily do it.

Statistically speaking, during the murderous time, approx. 1 in about 50,000 practitioners the multi-track proficiency degree that has been the same for at least 600+ years; Menkyo – Master of all the Martial arts.

The statistics currently also fit well with Shindenkan's history from 1965/67 to 2024+ - 60 years.

But the facts are that Menkyo is the first degree of clarification and competence within the ancient martial art of Bujutsu and Budo for more than 600+ years.

In Shindenkan, we meet people where they are and take them on a journey. The modern age has other priorities and motivational factors. This is also taken into account in the Yakami Shinsei-ryu Taijutsu & Karate-do curriculum manual, and therefore it was tested with four competency level divisions, instead of the two that Minouchi Sensei binary predicted.

2011-2014, Team 1, Kimu K. Bjarkmann POMW Pistol I-IV + POMW Rifle I-IV + POMW CTMT I-IV

The incentive for survival, development and inner clarification of the Daimyos and samurai warriors of the time is very different from most people today.

If Minouchi Sensei's theory is correct, the process and result will be like night and day between the first group; Menkyo+ and the other group, which includes the other three groups under Menkyo.

This also means that the teaching and learning style must be adapted to each individual group and individual, to the greatest extent possible. Shindenkan has a lot of experience with that; We meet people where people are and take them on a journey - nationally and internationally.

All groups under Menkyo are best within known inner comfort zones.

All Menkyo+ feel best outside or at the extreme limit of their inner comfort zone.

If Minouchi Sensei's theory is to be proven, as many as possible must be in the "extreme inner comfort zone like Menkyo - without being, recognizing it or understanding it".

What a task! But is it impossible?

Specific; This means that the head instructor must selflessly do all the project work for years, pay for it, make sure that the participants are in the outermost inner comfort zone, knowing that the "inner demons are released depending on the day's form", despite all the participants having agreed to a very thorough process of setting expectations.

Most people would probably say no thanks to this association post, as it will be the world's most thankless voluntary and unpaid association work, with a "bunch of maladjusted roller coaster teenagers for full emotional outbursts and venting up and down". The participants said that of course they would not behave like that as responsible adult people, as this would be ungrateful and extremely self-absorbed for the work done. But they forgot all about that when reality hit and the comfort zone cracked. 80+ % had finks, 20+ % was too full blown in the negative way.

But the POMW project could not be completed without Shindenkan's Competence and Development Center project manager agreeing to complete. And he did.

Main purpose of the POMW course in the POMW Project 2011-2024+, – stationary
  1. Soft targets: It is the person behind the weapon who is the most important in both the short and long range, and not the weapon.
  2. Hard goals: 60 % DK 1st Division, 30 % DK 2nd Division and 10 % DK 3rd Division 2012-2013 level, in at least one or more shooting disciplines. Short; How high a recognized level of shooting competence can be expected is learned in the shortest possible time within several different shooting disciplines.
Competence level is assessed according to whether you can do it again and again, according to your bottom level and top level. That is, are you constant

Competence level is assessed NOT depending on whether you have scored a good result just once – The Lucky Punch – winning the Lotto – Sun, moon and stars align, etc. Analogy; If it was a matter of life or death, would you choose the one that consistently hits every time? Or the one who hit once but hasn't since? There is a big difference in competence level and knowing why.

2013, Team 3, POMW Pistol I+II+III

Developmental increase in skill level, takes into account where you were when you started and how well you have translated POMW Shooting Technique into action and results

This means that those who have no shooting experience can be measured directly on their development in competence level, even if they start from 0.00. It also means that those who have some shooting experience can be measured directly on their development in competence level, even if they start from a perhaps higher level.

Diversity, gender and age. Square; Young people can be arrogant and haughty, and middle-aged people can be stuck, sad and angry. The socio-cultural aspects of being a boy and a girl and being raised in different countries with different opportunities; Hunger.

This means that there can be a positive and there can be a negative development curve, which is an expression of - yes, one's competence development over time. But also one's attitude; short; Are you good about yourself? The development curve becomes a trend curve over time; short and long.

How is your setting:
Are you good about yourself? The development curve becomes a trend curve over time; short and long

POMW Education module built and scalable from 9th Kyu to Menkyo

POMW The training is 100% structured – With knowledge and learning from the absolute best in the world, including

Rob Leatham, the world's best handgun IPSC legend for the past 30+ years, multiple world championships and many countries' special forces weapons instructor;

As far and high as the wings can carry - but what does this mean under the POMW Project 2011-2024+?

Basically, an optimal training course for a skill sport is based on the following fundamental elements:

  • Alright – the right and optimal equipment for the purpose, depending on the development process, intermediate goals and final goals
  • Instruction – The right instructor(s) for the purpose, depending on the development process, milestones and final goals
  • YOU and your setting and clarification process for the purpose, depending on the development process, milestones and final goals
  • To the purpose, depending on the development process, milestones and final goals

Gear – the right and optimal gear for the purpose, depending on the development process, sub-goals and final goals

The optimal equipment has a greater importance today, the higher the level of competence you achieve. It is normal in all "stuff sports", such as cycling, motor sports, golf, shooting, etc.

Instruction – The right instructor(s) for the purpose, depending on the development process, milestones and final goals

The right instructor(s) at the right time and place in YOUR process development is absolutely crucial. It's like that in all sports - indeed in life.

YOU and your setting and clarification process for the purpose, depending on the development process, intermediate goals and final goals

YOU - The person behind the weapon, is the primary decisive element in Minouchi Sensei's proven theory - you can have everything or nothing, outside or inside, but without HUNGER according to Minouchi's Sensei's theory, the process becomes limited where it should be unlimited in the nature of the matter and the project.

For the purpose, depending on the development process, milestones and final goals

It is extremely important to set up the right project plan with success criteria. But how do you set up the correct and optimal project plan with success criteria, milestones and final goals when you have never had any knowledge or practiced an area or sport before?

Here you will also get the answer through Minouchi Sensei's theory; Menkyo – Master of all the Martial Arts, which really just means recognizing and knowing yourself for good and bad 100 %. Martial Arts is here in relation to martial arts, but Menkyo means according to life, which means all areas – a whole. So how much do you trust yourself to lay your head on the block and formulate the optimal project plan when you have no prior knowledge of what you have to perform and be measured against, but literally start from 0.00?

Most people will say that it is gibberish, but Minouchi Sensei said that whether you are Menkyo, above or below, EVERYONE can do their absolute best every time, and if that's not enough, never mind, learn from it, but ALWAYS do your best.

Minouchi Sensei then also said that it is clearly an advantage to be at least Menkyo, since all Menkyo, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, height, weight, social status, education, childhood, etc., know themselves 100 % for better or for worse, and therefore always will be on the edge or above their own comfort zone area on all levels, with a curious adult child mind. Menkyo doesn't have that advantage, and therefore has to fight with fluctuating daily form, which is not optimal during a process following a clear common thread. There IS a difference between the straight road to the goal and the mountainous and winding road.

The POMW project was set up after "As far and as high as the wings can carry in the shortest possible time". Fortunately, it was very measurable according to national and international shooting standards and plans; National, continental, global and international – and beyond.

Economics and financing also set limits. In shooting, training takes place after "wet and dry training". Wet means on a shooting range with ammunition and dry means without ammunition, and training with optimal equipment such as precision laser. Within shooting, you train basically either pistol, rifle and shotguns. The training must be according to the purpose according to competence development. There is a HUGE difference in economics. Let's take some examples:

  • Pistol; Many IPSC top shooters usually train 2-3 heavy wet workouts and 4-6 dry workouts per week. In Scandinavia, wet training is often 3-7 hours on an outdoor shooting range from 7 m – 50+ m from April-November and 2-4 hours on an indoor shooting range with precision shooting from November-April at 15m and 25 m. An outdoor wet training could look like this as under the first part of the POMW project: Heating; 300 pcs 0.22 precision shooting. 2-3,000 pcs. 9 mm with various Steel Challenge and IPSC exercises. Clean gun every 500-1000 rounds, depending on gun type; military or competition pistol. The price difference is typically from approx. DKK 15,000 to DKK 100,000. A military pistol can last for typically 60-100,000 shots and a competition pistol typically half that before the "short barrel and small parts" have to be replaced and the pistol has to be serviced by a weapon mechanic. The weekly ammunition price with an average of 2½ training sessions per week is in today's price (1.11.2024): (6 packs 0.22 + 40 packs 9mm) x 2½ = approx. 4,700 x 2½ = approx. DKK 12,000. This gives a total ammunition cost per month of just over DKK 50,000. It is not unusual for an IPSC top shooter to shoot between 30-35,000 up to 80-100,000 rounds per month. years in their prime. Ammunition prices have of course increased considerably in the last few years compared to 2011-2014. But it makes a pretty good financial sense that IPSC is not for anyone and everyone who wants to fulfill their full potential in the shooting tier formula 1. It is expensive – really expensive.

Rifle; Ammunition prices for rifle are significantly more expensive than pistol. So are the suitable rifles! But the "long barrels" on rifles limit the speed at which you can fire, as they get way too hot typically after 30-50 rounds with rapid reloading. It causes heat flickers and then the rifle must be cooled. It is an advantage to have several rifles or rifle types. This optimizes the training time - if you are the shooting leader yourself and have free shooting on the shooting range. But where 0.22 and 9 mm pistol ammunition costs 01.11.24 respectively. approx. DKK 1 and DKK 2.2 per shot, then 6.5 and 308 rifle ammunition costs around DKK 12-15 per shot. Which corresponds to 7-15 times more than pistol ammunition. But - it is nothing to compare with when you shoot with 338 Lapua Magnum "off the shelf" long-range ammunition out to the 1,800+ m, which costs DKK 60-80 per shot. 1,000 shots of 338 costs DKK 60-80,000 and 5,000 costs DKK 300,000-400,000. There is a lot of money to be saved by being a self-loader, which, however, assumes that you are skilled enough. Otherwise, it doesn't matter.

This is the entire POMW package and the POMW project 2011-2024+, which was started without any prerequisites in shooting, but only on the basis of proving and clarifying Minouchi Sensei's theory. In retrospect, there are probably not many organizations other than Shindenkan that would have started the POMW project on this basis. But we did and with great success! Either you can or you can't and we could 😊.

AYAME – Shindenkan's physical test package during graduation with typically 8-12 stop tests over 4-6 weeks, has a little touch of the above that everyone can try. Ayame Kuroi – Black is, by Scandinavian standards, at a very high physical and fitness level for the age group. But the level above is Ayame GOLD, which is international elite level with a decisive dispute. The graduate must make the final decision in advance to take an AYAME GOLD and either pass it or not. If the graduate passes only to Ayame Kuroi, then the graduate is dumped, since the decision was Ayame Gold. How much do you really trust yourself? Do you have the setting and clarification? Out of approx. 50,000 practitioners in the last 60 years, there are only three who have passed Ayame Gold - during a maximum pressured but structured training and graduation course physically, psychologically and mentally typically over 12 months.

Another minor example is Shot Calling during POMW III, but here there are no real consequences, so people don't take it seriously - it becomes a game. Are YOU good enough and do you know yourself? – in reality and with serious consequences for you.
