Katafit 1 – Muscles and success grow in Shindenkan

On Sunday 25 October, Tjørnely School in Greve once again formed the framework around a Shindenkan course. For the third time, the revolutionary and controversial KataFit 1 course has been held, a well-attended course where a total of approx. 120 participants have now been through.

KataFit has become a standard in all Shindenkan schools, where it is now part of the daily Yakami shinsei-ryu program, on an equal footing with other skills. Katafit has followed a design and rollout plan following a project plan laid out by Honbu dojo's top boss Kimu Sensei, who also developed the course. In its infancy, it was introduced into schools through the head instructors and then team instructors who had been taught by Kimu Sensei. However, it quickly became apparent that there was a great need and potential for a course where the Shindenkans could learn KataFit in detail and personally, exactly where they were. It was necessary, as physical training and fitness in general today are mostly relegated to commercial centers where the teaching is of varying quality. It is clear that you do as you have learned and been shown, and take bad habits with you, which should preferably not happen with KataFit. One of the purposes of introducing katafit as a compulsory course was precisely to counter this and ensure a high quality and standard, and thus maximum benefit for the individual participant. It is important that you train correctly, because if you look at the fitness world today, a lot of injuries happen, even at a very young age, simply because the training is wrong. Kimu Sensei himself was an instructor on the first 2 courses, where the highest graduates were taken through a very detailed review, and as Kimu Sensei says "There are no random movements" - A teaching that has subsequently been taken back to the local schools , where KataFit is practiced after each workout.

The philosophy behind ShieldKiss, of which KataFit is a result, is, as Kimu Sensei expresses it, "Our contribution to a better world", which is based on the individual. "Individual thinking is important, this is where the results are created and where the world changes, it is the individual who decides whether he/she wants to do something - all change starts with yourself" explains Kimu Sensei. KataFit is designed to prevent, heal and make stronger. The results have been amazing and for many life-changing as it has healed injuries where traditional physiotherapy or medical treatment has failed. "It's the way to a healthy soul in a healthy body," continues Kimu Sensei, as KataFit contributes to balance across the entire palette - body, mind and spirit. But it also requires something from the practitioner, who must realize that a body in balance is hard work, but work that also gives a high yield, and best of all, it affects the execution of Yakami Shinsei-ryu

Katafit resonates, not only in Shindenkan, but also around the world. KataFit will certainly not be the last we hear of ShieldKiss, who to that extent views the world from a new angle and does away with old dogmas and dares to look the health apostles and the medical world in the eye. Read more about Shieldkiss here: www.shieldkiss.com. Experience articles from the KataFit courses from participants in all levels of Shindenkan will also be published here on the website, so that the benefits can be multiplied.

Katafit 1 runs again on 8 November 2015, where there is plenty of room for a lot of participants who want to know their body better and learn to be good to themselves. KataFit has become mandatory for 9th kyu, as it is fundamental and really important for a good start and understanding of Yakami Shinsei-ryu.
