Shindenkan Spring Rally – A new concept.

All Shindenkan events are conducted according to a concept, specially designed for the season, which gives all participants and instructors a fantastic opportunity to learn directly from our Sensei 🙂 and at the same time feel the huge community we have in Shindenkan, and which gives each the opportunity to contribute super positively to creating a fantastic day.
For this particular spring meeting, Yamana-Itotani Sensei had designed and developed a new concept for Shindenkan spring meetings, which was carried out for the first time, here at the spring meeting 2023. The concept gave the optimal opportunity to train all participants and instructors at the same time in the same curriculum, but with increasing degree of difficulty entirely depending on the level of the participants – at the same time the groups were fluid and could be taught by Yamana-Itotani Sensei.
The concept and implementation raised the level for all groups, and Yamana-Itotani Sensei gave lots of confidence, knowledge and energy to all groups and there was room for both individual feedback and many good demos along the way.
And it was a fantastic day with very high spirits among the participants - young and old, and despite the flu, with a great many participants, 93 registered and 81 present. There were also a lot of spectators and you could clearly feel it in the parking lot and in the atmosphere in the stands 🙂 Yes, the flu tried to hold the participants back, but there were just a lot of us on the day - both participants, family and spectators in general, so it was just life-affirming - almost like in the very old tradition, where it was Yamana-Itotani Sensei and I who put together the convention 🙂
My own feeling after the convention was completed was extremely positive – and I had a great feeling that Shindenkan had hit the spot and that our change has now taken effect at all levels. I spoke to many people afterwards and everyone was extremely happy and positive – didn't want to go home, and just wanted more and more – a life-affirming feedback from participants, spectators and parents alike 🙂
What more could you ask for! This is exactly the kind of feedback I would like Shindenkan to receive - because then I know that we at Shindenkan have both the right spirit and the right mindset - we have the right positive values, we actually make a huge difference for all our members.
To that extent, Shindenkan has got a fantastic new concept for our spring meeting, with a new focused learning and an absolutely fantastic atmosphere among the members - A new concept where Yamana-Itotani Sensei teaches all groups and raises the level.
I am personally very proud of Shindenkan 2023 – because Shindenkan is something very special for all our members – a place with space for everyone who wants the bright positive energy. A place built around our amazing 1,000 year old martial arts system – Yakami Shinsei-Ryu Karate-do.
We are on a new journey in Shindenkan, and across our schools we have brought in over 60 new members, and we are not stopping there, no we are continuing our journey – which is to create whole and happy people.
Graduations
Shindenkan spring meetings are always a very special event for the many new members who have joined our summer campaign - because this is where most of them go up to their first new belt or new stripes on their belts. The spring convention 2023 was no exception, and it resulted in many beautiful and well-deserved graduations.
I would like to wish everyone a huge congratulations on your new and well-deserved degrees. It went really well and I'm incredibly proud of all of you!
Keep an eye out for the rest of the 2022 – 2023 season
There are 4 good important courses planned and then of course there is our next fantastic joint convention, where graduations will again be held for everyone who is nominated – Shindenkan Summer Convention 2023 🙂
For the higher degrees, it will be extra exciting because the graduation for all Brown and Black Belts takes place at the summer meeting - and the individual test process starts already in August for SB graduates in spe, and in December for BB graduates in spe and 🙂 It will be just mega cool.
Please note that it is also at the summer convention that all the highest graduates must re-acquire their OBC KM, badges for their multi-track competencies - so it will be a demonstration of all Yakami Shinsei-Ryu armed and unarmed competencies. The summer meeting will be a fantastic Shindenkan display in multi-track Martial Arts.
We have had a fantastic season up until now and we want it to continue throughout the season so that we end the season as one of the best in Shindenkan's history
It is our wish in Shindenkan that we help each other to create more New fantastic members 🙂
The season is far from over yet, and we would really like to have more new members with all the good, bright energy that comes with it, and we again need your help.

Reach out to people both near and far! Tell us about the great training community we have and the fantastic dynamics in training. It takes so little – but it means so much to all of us to be included.
The word of mouth recommendation from our existing members is the strongest and most genuine attraction we have, because the last seasons have convincingly shown that positive friendly recommendations from all our existing happy and whole members around our community and multi-track martial arts - both attract the many old members who have come back, and especially strengthens the attraction of new members.
It's a fantastic time in Denmark right now, and spring is quietly on its way - and we know that in Shindenkan, the sun shines on us all, from a cloudless blue sky - In just a little while we will transition to summer time, the days have become longer and I can feel that we are facing something big, something fantastic and I am looking forward to the journey with you all.
