At the instructors' meeting on 31-7-2001, it was decided to divide the future organization into a representative board and a working board.
As a consequence of the case surrounding the federal treasurer, it became clear that Jokokan needed a leaner and more effective management structure. Therefore, the new working board was slimmed down to only include Chief Instructors, each of whom will have their own responsibilities and areas of work in Jokokan Europe & Denmark. They will ensure the practical planning and execution of the agreed framework given by the newly established Board of Representatives. The Board of Representatives consists of an elected Chairman and Deputy Chairman, who can quickly represent the members of the Board of Representatives. The members consist of Jokokan's instructors and one elected "non-instructor" member from each Jokokan school. This member, as well as an alternate, are elected at each school's general meeting. The board currently consists of five members and the Board of Representatives consists of 15.
