Shindenkan's curriculum just keeps getting better and better – after the introduction of Yamana-Itotani Sensei's SKK StretchKiKata, we have expanded Shindenkan's toolbox with the essence of 1000 years of knowledge of training and of body, mind and spirit. The StretchKiKata itself, which we colloquially call – SKK, has now become an integral part of Shindenkan's KataFIT course.
Saturday 28.11.2020 was the day when the new KataFIT S and SKK course was rolled out to all Shindenkan's new members for the first time and it was VERY positively received 🙂
The course was carried out as a national activity, and this is where I, as federation chairman, have the opportunity to meet all the new members in Shindenkan. There were also regulars on this course who had not had the opportunity to participate in OBC 4 - and learn the new SKK. It was a great pleasure to meet both the new Shindenkaners and the regulars who had signed up for the course. From start to finish, there was a fantastic commitment from both the old and the new members!
We had up to 4 instructors to ensure the best possible delivery of the course and - Yes, I must say that I am impressed by how much concentration they showed and how well they fought to acquire all the knowledge that was served to them . It's just as if the Corona pandemic has created an iron will and a desire to learn in Shindenkan's members - it was a fantastic course through and through 🙂 and even though it was cold outside, we had heated the room both with heaters and heart warmers.
Christmas is the time of the heart - but isn't it also the union of body, mind and spirit
Christmas is the time of the heart, and it is right after Shindenkan's value set and toolbox 🙂 and of course it also applies in this time's Corona pandemic. Christmas is where you wish each other all the best, and that's what we constantly strive to do at Shindenkan - to meet the members where they are and take them on a journey.
Both KataFIT S and SKK take participants on a fantastic journey through body, mind and spirit, through a focus on coordination of movement and breathing. Understanding the connection between having a healthy mind in a healthy body creates harmony and balance in your spirit – indeed in your entire life.
KataFIT S and SKK are the ultimate toolbox handed down by Yamana Itotani Sensei to Shindenkan and Shindenkan's amazing members that will make us all much more amazing in the future.
Time flew by and suddenly 2.5 hours had passed with super cool training, intensity and high energy - where we as instructors led the participants to the best of our ability through all the movements in KataFIT and completed a KataFIT 1S as well as all the movements in SKK and finally completed SKK in a flow. Along the way, there was room for smiles and attention for all participants – young and old.
It was definitely a fantastic day with super training for all the new Shindenkaners, and as always I try to talk to as many of the participants as possible afterwards and I was met with a lot of positives and of course also with a lot of fatigue 🙂
KataFIT S and SKK course for next year
As federal chairman of Shindenkan Denmark, I am already looking forward with joy to the next KataFIT and SKK course, and I want in the new year that our influx of new happy Shindenkaners will meet YOU - and see YOUR very best - so that you can all be ambassadors for the next generation of Shindenkaners and just like us instructors to show how great it is to train in Shindenkan.
Because it is fantastic to train in Shindenkan - With the union of body, mind and spirit and there with the creation of a really good Christmas atmosphere - because the future is created by your and my actions - not what we think and say 🙂

Remember graduation on 6/12/2020
It is crucially important to the management of Shindenkan that all members who have trained as much as they could, also get the opportunity to progress to graduation. So be aware that the XMAS BOKS event has been moved so that there is graduation on 6.12.2020 due to the authorities' sudden upscaling of restrictions.
Changes to the invitation are sent by email and SMS. The graduation will be held with the highest level of security in relation to the Corona restrictions applicable at any given time.
With all our efforts, we will work to create the best BOKS convention, and for it all to be received in true Shindenkan spirit with room for everyone.
