Can I use the POMW I to learn to shoot?

Can I use the POMW I as part of my toolbox on the road to inner clarity - now that I hate firearms with all my heart.

New Year's Eve 1984, I was confronted with my inner self.
An unknown man suddenly stands in my living room with a firearm.
Is the weapon real or dummy?
Is the man ill or under the influence of euphoric drugs?
The man wanted me to call a taxi and I did.
The man asked me if I was scared and I answered by peeing on the floor.

I ask myself today if I was clear back then as an 18-year-old. Maybe.
I didn't panic, I didn't become apathetic, I obeyed and was expectant and AFRAID.
From that day on, I always locked my door.

I know that as the world has developed, you have to deal with the rawness and the people who walk the streets and are not clear about the consequences that a spot shot can have. Those people are perhaps the most dangerous.

At POMW IA, they were asked who would pick up the gun if their opponent/assailant dropped his weapon.
30 % answered yes. I was one of those who answered yes. I didn't need time to think, I just raised my hand.
After the course, the memory of the above-mentioned episode surfaced and I tried to make another twist of the process.
If he had dropped the gun - would I have picked it up?
YES, I am 100 % sure of that.
Would I then have used it against him?
NO, I'm 99 % sure I wouldn't have.
I think I would have done as you see on TV: "leave or I'll shoot you". And perhaps I would then have died!

At POMW IB, when we had to shoot for the first time, I hit the target 1 time. I stood at a distance of 7 m and took aim and backed with correct position. Kimu Sensei comes by and lightly pushes my back and says shoot, I do and hit the target. Some of my colleagues see this and we talk about it afterwards. It is at the same time very funny but also thought provoking.
Words such as setting and clarification are words that repeat themselves.

Afterwards, we have 3 weeks to practice.
The homework is: practice shooting technique handbook, do it 30 min every day. And feel free to use a toy gun 🙂
I thought I would probably need more than 3 weeks, but I practiced from day 1 and 3 weeks onwards. 2x15 every day.
I've had a lot of trouble getting proper aim, getting the right body position, getting the correct breathing. It was difficult to get a flow.

The day came when the POMW IC was to be dismantled. We had to pick up where we left off. Find into the same groups.
I was curious if you could see an improvement, anything over 2 hit was an improvement of 100 % 🙂
It actually went well. There were many who hit the disc and even by the black on the disc.
Suddenly, a plastic ball hits me on the lip and I instinctively turn away and point at someone else. I promptly get DQ'd by Kimu Sensei.
Kimu Sensei tells me the lesson of my action – I could have shot another person.
I get really scared and sad and the episode from 1984 comes up again.
I think right now I could have shot someone else because of the waste, but I could have deliberately shot my assailant if given the chance.
I still don't know, but now I'm in the situation where, if I maintain my acquired skills, I will be able to operate a firearm and be able to hit with reasonably high precision.

So yes, you can learn to shoot with the POMW I.
Can one be clarified with a POMW I.
No, not alone. You have to look within – really within. What are your weaknesses and what are your strengths?
You might save yourself, but you might take someone else's life, smash another family. Etc. Etc.

How much had I improved in those 3 weeks?
I was one of 4 on the winning team, in the multiple target shooting competition.
I had 4 fouls, on lane shooting on time and several goals.
