By Jokokan Denmark

The summer camp at the Honbu-dojo at Jokokan Japan became a major event as eight new 1st dan, five new 3rd dan and one new 4th dan passed their graduations with flying colours. The summer training camp lasted for three days and ended with a festive event by Nishiwake Hidetoshi Shihan, 6th dan seconded by his younger brother, Nishiwake Shihan, 5th dan.

Soke Sensei Tonegawa was extremely satisfied with the course of the summer camp.

Soke Sensei's exclusive old-boys school in Tokyo is going well. They train once a week for 2 hours. Soke Sensei is assisted by Shidoin Matsuda, 1st dan, Yakami-ryu Taijutsu.

Every Sunday morning for the past 2 years, Soke Sensei has been training Shidoin Matsuda. Shidoin Matsuda is also graduated 3rd dan in Kendo, Iaido and Kick-boxing.

Soke Sensei has pre-approved the plans for Jokokan Europe's second training and sightseeing visit to Japan in 2004. The first visit took place in October 1998, and was a great success and experience for the eight participating Danish instructors.
