KataFit-18-11-2016

On Friday 18 November 2016, 46 participants had found their way to the KataFit course, which was to take place in the new gymnasium at Hareskov school. This location is among the Honbu-dojo's new premises for the upcoming 2016-2017 season. There were 46 participants who had bitten the cold and who were therefore ready to get a really good review of KataFit.

KataFit is the first tool that has come out of the SHIELD KISS project, and it is a tool that can produce results to that extent. A chief instructor has been given up by the doctors because of a "missing" muscle in the shoulder, but has had the muscle "created" again through KataFIt and is now fit for fight again. Other practitioners of KataFit have also had very remarkable results with sunshine stories as a result. So only one thing can be concluded, namely that with KataFit it works, and you have everything to gain and nothing to lose - apart from a little fat percentage, but it's not even that bad 🙂

As in all other Shindenkan courses, KataFit also started with Ryugi. It dealt with the SHIELD KISS project and was posted with the screening of the film that starts the SHIELD KISS website. The film is a fantastically beautiful experience and is peppered with music that will bring tears to even the most hardcore man. The Ryugi part also tells about the entirety of Shindenkan and that KataFit has relationships and links to other well-known exercises, such as Yoga and Pilates – or is it yoga and Pilates that have relationships and links to kataFit?
Then it was time to review KataFit. A podium was built for the occasion so that all participants had the opportunity to see the instructors perform the movements correctly. Jens Hanshi-Dai is the main instructor on the course and was flanked by Martin Renshi and Søren Renshi – vs. Instructors in different weight classes and shapes 🙂

There were also participants from one of Shindenkan's sponsors and those involved greatly enjoyed the review, as there were more details that fell into place. There were also some of the participants who participated for the second time, again to get more details and to gain a greater understanding of KataFit.

All participants were divided into 3 groups. Two groups with Jokokidz and one group with adults and Jokoteen. In this way, the instructors and the participant have a better opportunity to find each other in the course. It also works on all Jokokidz who give it that much gas and who are fully concentrated despite the fact that it was the time of Disney fun and Friday sweets. But the sugar had to wait, because the Jokokidz who participated in the course were deeply focused on learning KataFit.

KataFit is a technical challenge in the same way as karate kata - wondering if there is a common thread here? 🙂 There are no random movements, and you can actually have a meditative experience by doing kataFit – which is a much better experience than thinking it is hard – so it is the attitude of the individual that determines which experience you get out of kataFit - isn't it just fantastic?

The course ended with a compilation of the entire kataFit tool. This was done by having all the participants and instructors complete a KataFit 1S. It was great to see how everyone put everything together and how great to see the jokokidz struggle despite the sugar levels being low at the time – Disney fun and Friday sweets were over.

After a joint photo and a series of questions from the participants, it was time for a well-deserved weekend. KataFit is a success. Not only on the course, but to a large extent also among the practitioners in Shindenkan and also among practitioners outside of Shindenkan. There should be no doubt that KataFit helps a lot of people, even if some won't admit it. But that's how the world is screwed up, and the only thing to do is to continue the good intention and attitude that there is everything to win and nothing to lose - and still only cool % can go down 🙂
